A few months ago, Slogan Slingers announced it would begin charging writers a fee to enter any slogan contests. It didn't disclose the exact fee at the time, and only vaguely said that the change would be coming soon.
Slogan Slingers has since implemented its new practice. Writers wishing to enter a slogan contest on the site must now pay $2.99 to enter up to six slogans. The six entries are only valid for one contest, not across contests -- just entering a slogan each in two contests would cost you $5.98.
I've earned a bit of money from Slogan Slingers before, but I won't be using the site anymore after this change. The site's owners have shown that they don't value their writers as much as it seemed they did.
Slogan Slingers' sister site, Name My Blank, now also charges the same price to enter their naming contests.
