Blue Mountain Arts Poetry Card Contest deadline approaching

Christmas is almost here, followed closely by the new year.  December 31st is the deadline for the Blue Mountain Arts Poetry Card Contest, with its prizes of $300, $150, and $50.  If you have a greeting card idea to submit, be sure to do it soon!

Ephemera caption contest

The current Ephemera caption contest doesn't have a posted deadline, but it's better to get your entries in sooner rather than later.  The chosen winner will receive $50, and their caption might be used on a magnet.

Central Methodist University slogan contest

Central Methodist University needs a new slogan, and they're willing to pay $250 for it.  The chosen slogan will "reflect positively on CMU and be adaptable to a variety of uses."  Entries can be submitted by mail or email, and must be in by January 21st, 2013.  For artists and graphic designers, there is a companion contest for a new "C" logo for the athletic department as well, which also carries a prize of $250.

Update: The contest deadline has been extended to February 28th.

Richmond Community College "Name the QEP" slogan contest

Richmond Community College needs a new slogan for its QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan).  Current RCC students with a valid student ID number can submit one entry each, and all entries must be submitted by January 18th, 2013.  The winner will be awarded a $200 Visa gift card.

2013 Red Ribbon Theme Contest

The National Family Partnership, home of the Red Ribbon Campaign for drug awareness and drug prevention, is sponsoring the 2013 Red Ribbon Theme Contest.  They are looking for a theme for the campaign for the coming year.  The prize for the winner is $500 worth of Red Ribbon merchandise, and all entries must be in by December 10th.

2013 BSIBC Boating Slogan Contest

Members of the BSIBC (Burnt Store Isles Boat Club) can enter the 2013 BSIBC Boating Slogan Contest.  The contest deadline is December 31st, and the winner will receive $25 worth of Ship's Store merchandise.  See the contest guidelines for specific details.

GCA's LOUIE Awards call for entries

Entries are now being accepted for the Greeting Card Association's annual LOUIE Awards.  Cards must have been for sale during the current calendar year, and must have been part of a run of at least 500.  There is a $75 per card entry fee for non-GCA members ($55 per card for members) and all entries must be in by December 12th.  You can check out the full guidelines here.

FM99's Checkpoint Strikeforce Slogan Contest

The FM99 Checkpoint Strikeforce slogan contest is being held to find a slogan to help combat drunk driving.  Slogans can be submitted through December 9th, and the winner will receive four tickets to "Ring in the New Year" at the Funny Bone Comedy Club in Virginia, as well as a pair of hotel rooms at the Westin Town Center.  One random entrant will also be selected to receive a $125 Visa gift card.
